Where I live

In my walks in the area near home I find myself looking for scenery or vegetation which sums up the characteristics of the local landscape.

Today’s shot is taken near the village of Silverdale. It shows the limestone, our underlying rock. You can see how it weathers and also here how it slopes down to go under the sands of Morecambe Bay.
You can also see how the prevailing south westerly wind shapes the cliff top trees and shrubs. The ever changing channels on the estuary sands are also visible.
