Finally

I’ve known KathGordon of Blip for years but we’ve never met. When David died I said that Murphy and I would go on a blip tour. Well that was nearly two years ago and finally today I’ve met Kath and will be meeting some others later this week.

Kath and her husband Mick had driven to Pooley Bridge to meet us. We drove over the Kirkstone Pass to get there. It’s a narrow, winding road and the scenery is stunning.

Having met and hugged we went for a walk by the River Eamont and then had lunch by the temporary bridge. The original bridge from the 18th century was destroyed by floods reaching 15 feet in December 2015. The plans for the replacement look stunning.

The extras are Blipbear and friends on some tree fungus, possibly Chicken in the Woods (Kath was pleased to meet them) and the Steamer heading out across Ullswater.

Having hugged and said our farewells, HtP, Murphy and I drove to Keswick for tea and cake.

Thank you Kath and Mick for driving all of that way. And especially thanks to HtP for taking the photo.
