Avocado stone

It's a few weeks since I stuck the stone in a glass of water.
then I planted it in soil and when I left home 5 days ago it was about one inch high.
I couldn't believe how it's shot up. 
I was feeling a bit iffy after yesterday's bus journey in the heat so didn't make it to M,,D&M.this morning.
after doing early morning shopping I watered the garden.
I am thinking of ironing but only thinking about it ;)
