Sgwarnog: In the Field

Castell

10yo was keen to experience another castle, and if there's one thing we have to offer in North Wales, it's castles.

Brother #2 (in evidence, bottom right) kindly ferried us across the misty moors, through the mountains and along the estuary down to Harlech where we climbed the ramparts and enjoyed fine views of the Llŷn Peninsula and back up into the mountains.

Back at Mum's it became very evident that she was having a difficult day, sufficiently concerning that out of hours advised ringing 999 and while we had a very quick first responder it was gone 3.00 in the morning by the time the paramedics had come and gone. As it happens she came through all the tests ok and has been much improved today, so it's been put down as an 'episode' which perhaps offers a glimpse of how her dementia will progress in time.
