Still Waters

In this case don’t run very deep. We went to the Testeboån nature reserve near Gävle; it was a damp, still morning as there had been a shower and the mosquitoes were out in force making life a tad unpleasant. The reserve is round the braided lower reaches of the river and usually it would be fast flowing, but this summer the water is very sluggish and the boulders were reflected well in the brown waters and so made a good blip. We then went to Gävle and had an enjoyable afternoon cycling round town, looking at the public art and the buildings in gamle Gävle. The first extra is an excellent hama bead house on a utilities box near where Joe Hill, the socialist who went to the USA, was born and the second extra some street art that appeared between the start and end of our ride.
