The loneliness of the long distance runner.

Well runner anyway!  Over the last nine weeks Clickychick has been following the NHS "Couch to 5 K"   This was the last run in the 9 week scheme.  When she started it was run for 60 seconds walk for 90 and repeat 3 times with a 5 minute walk to warm up and 5 to warm down.  I was away but she admits to not being able to run for the 60 seconds.

Over the weeks she settled on this quiet little road for her runs.  I would drive her out to the "tip" sorry recycling centre and she would run from there.  I kept stopping at points along the way in case of problems.  The runs have slowly built up to this point where she ran for 39 minutes and including the walks made it all the way home.

For somebody who hasn't done anything vaguely like running for  many many years (probably since she was at school) she has done so well to stick at 3 runs a week for the nine weeks.
