Nidhogg gnaws at the world tree, Yggdrasil

Norse Mythology (about which I know very little) clearly remains an important part of Norwegian culture.

This is one of several dozen mural wooden reliefs of mythological scenes on the outside wall of Oslo's City Hall.  Nidhogg is also known as the "Malice Striker".
