Oh blimey!

What a day. Good sleep, and an early start to head downtown, iced coffee and pastry in hand. We started at the top of the high line and walked along its length. Just gorgeous....and way too many pictures to choose from but an extra here that summed up the beautiful planting amid the remaining industrial heritage. Great views all round. Got to the end and wandered through Meatpacking district to Chelsea market where we sampled tacos and freshly made (spicy!) noodles, then walked down to see World Trade Centre (extra). We did some shopping nearby and got a couple of dresses as L had said we were all invited for dinner with her boss/friend and with a Central Park West address we were worried we looked a bit tatty in our tourist garb! Wandered and walked...up to Washington Park Sq. We mistimed it all....should have taken train to the rooftop bar we were heading to as it was further away than we realised. Anyway, eventually took train to Lincoln Centre where we changed and bought some flowers then arrived at the apartment. OMG it was stunning-what a view!
Very nice chatty evening with pizzas and pastries and a lot of wine, talking grandchildren and how J organises a camp for them all every year and as they’ve grown older these camps grow increasingly exciting and adventurous.
How the other half (1%?!) lives.......!
