The Grill

::Backblip::

This was a good day. We went to Beverly Hills & Rodeo Drive. We had lunch at The Grill on the Alley. Huge Chicken Caesar Salads. Quite tasty. The place wasn't as posh as we'd thought it was going to be.

I know the focus isn't great on this (or maybe it's slight motion blur) but I really like the picture. It reminds me that we did have a fun holiday, and nobody can take that away :)

Later that night we visited West Hollywood (or WeHo as it's known) - the gay bit where we stayed in 2006, without realising it was the gay bit until we'd been there for a couple of hours. Back then it hadn't been the men holding hands in the street, or even the shop window containing the man-sized leather gimp suit with matching spiked collar that gave it away. It was when we got back to our Hotel and saw the rainbow flags outside. God knows how we'd missed them when we'd left in the first place!

This time we went to an all-night diner that we hadn't gone to before, just beside the hotel we'd stayed in back then. I wasn't at all embarrassed when I (soberly) tripped and stumbled into a load of chairs and the really cute waiter tried to make me feel better by saying they jump out in front of everybody.

All in all though, it was one of the stand-out days of the holiday :)
