Finally, something is rising from the ruins of one of Edinburgh's most devastating recent fires.

I'm not yet entirely sure what it might be, but I guess it will arouse controversy whatever it looks like.

Meanwhile, having had a great dinner yesterday, I've been back to a funky restaurant just off the Grassmarket which I visited a couple of weeks ago. My prandial cup runneth over and, as a commentator noted on yesterday's blip, I'd better run it off.

Home now, and staying here until Monday, with only brief forays out.
