Sad Sunny

This is the sunflower I blipped a few weeks ago. It was about ten feet tall and fell over in the wind. Ian propped it up and it continued to flourish for a short time. Now, it's golden face has gone and is replaced by a sad downward look. My extra is the other sunflower which has grown to nine feet and although it's head is smaller than the other one, it is bright and sunny.

It's been a much colder day and in spite of the temperature being 21C it does not feel warm. We have been used to three months of intense heat and although at times it has been unbearable I had hoped it may continue a little longer.

Our day was spent in the chicken field...We rearranged their houses and Ian continued the demolition of the stable. It's a slow, hard job, removing all the bolts and taking off the roofing felt. Now that we have had a lot of heavy rain, the ground is softer and it will be easier to reroute the electric fence. But that can wait for another day.
