Here We Go Again

Yes, the first home game of the football seasonal has come round again already.

All the same faces were in their same places on the terrace behind the goal where we stand, but there were lots of new faces in the Yeovil team and we looked a much better team for it, playing some attractive, pacy, attacking football and defending with determination and spirit.

We took the lead twice and Mansfield, who are among the pre-season favourites for promotion, equalised twice in the first 25 minutes in what was an entertaining game, even though there weren't any more goals.

Overall it was an encouraging performance against a very good team; for the first time in a few seasons we came away from the first game looking forward to what the rest of the season has to hold.
