41st Annual Saw Festival

Musical saw aficionados gather here every year to celebrate their unique music for a fun filled weekend. On Saturday afternoon participants meet downtown to jam in front of our own Tom Scribner statue. Tom was a charismatic labor organizer and musical saw player who was a common sight on this very street for many years.

There were a good dozen musicians out there today: saws, accordion, ukulele, harp, guitar, fiddle, they came and went, played a little, schmoozed a little. Lovely old timey music, played with the greatest pleasure and goodwill. It's always a sweet afternoon.
