Sheepwash Bridge

The bridge at Ashford in the Water, where we stopped for ten minutes to admire the trout in the clear river water, before walking the last mile or so back to Monsall Head.  Called sheepwash bridge I believe because local sheep used to have to swim across once a year!

It should have been the monthly Club Climbing Sunday today, but it was too wet for that so I went for plan B.

The extra shows a dead bird of prey... not sure which one though, it's quite small. I wonder why it died?

7.05 miles
1117 feet ascent
