Urban trees . . . .

. . . have a harder time than those in forests.  Compacted soil, no build up of leaf compost, toxic chemicals etc.  The sycamores in Charlotte Square in Edinburgh also have thousands of book lovers to cope with every year at the annual book festival. They seem to be doing okay.
