Lakeland Dipper 76

Derwentwater

After a No.1 chop of some branches that had shot up, I took it all to the tip and went on for a swim.

I watched this diving mother duck (couldn't see what variety they were) and her large brood with bated breath as they attracted the interest of  gulls. Suddenly mum dived and they all followed suit and within moments they had all disappeared. The seagulls were confused and then bored. Good strategy, mum.
