Copper beech . . .

 . . . is listed as non-native to the northern half of Britain by the  Woodland Trust  We have a few locally, and they are splendid trees.  I chose this shot as it has not only the lovely leaves, but also the 'masts' and next year's shoots.  Lots of masts this year - doesn't happen every year. 

Excuse didactic blipping - helping me to learn more about trees.
