Fleet Foxes at the Bandstand

Back blip
We arrived into Queens Street Glasgow at lunchtime. We had a quick look at George Square and then headed for a The Lighthouse where we saw the Mackintosh exhibition of one of his Masterpiece houses , Hill House. The house has been exposed to the Scottish weather that has now penetrated it’s concrete walls so is now encased in a box to help it dry out. The furniture from inside has been removed and can now be seen in The Lighthouse. Some wonderful pieces of furniture and light fittings.
On to The Willow tea rooms for lunch. This time we ate in the Chinese Room up stairs. I had a very tasty fish platter and we shared a strawberry tart for pud.
We booked into our room at The Jury’s hotel.Lots of swimmers on their way out for the afternoon swimming at Tollcross as part of the European Championships.
After a rest we caught a cab to Kelvingrove Park where we had a wander and a sit before queuing up at the Bandstand.
We sat near the front and had great views of Fleet Foxes . A brilliant gig , so nice to be so close to the band and with great lights and sound too.It stayed dry :))))
