The Organist Entertains

Whilst walking around Saltaire today we heard organ music coming from Saltaire United Reformed Church (see extra).  On investigation we found the organist practising for a forthcoming wedding.  He was very happy to go through his planned programme  - along with snatches of other tunes - as the mood took him.   He was very good indeed.
The church opened in 1859 and the organ was an 1890 addition. It was built by Huddersfield firm Conacher & Co and has been rebuilt twice.  It sounded good today.
