The burn at Aikerness (Day 1196)

After a damp wander up the hill with the woofers this morning I did a few bits of paperwork whilst  my beautiful wife went off to do hossing things. 
After lunch, we headed to Aikerness, expecting a wet walk, but the rain held off whilst we wandered along the beach. The burn at the end of the beach is a bit higher than we have seen it for a while, probably more because of the very high tide rather than the overnight rain. 
Later, as HV trundled off to a shift at work, I headed for Stromness to look at a leaking shower. It is all going to have to be ripped out and started again.
