Into the madding crowd

Headed into town late afternoon after a productive day working from home to listen to Akram Khan: In Discussion (with Mary Brennan, Dance Critic at the Glasgow Herald).  What a wonderful hour : he spoke about his process of production and how  the original idea or kernel can get swallowed or subsumed by something else, the difference between success and excellence and looking for grace (which he finds on stage but not (always) when dealing with his children), getting old as well as different collaborations throughout his career. He was thoughtful, eloquent, candid and both graceful and gracious. Now looking really  forward to seeing his latest production  Xenos on Thursday.

Made my way along the High Street afterwards embracing the wonderful chaos that is the Fringe: must try and get to some more shows next week before it is all over for another year.
