The dropped stitch

Spare Rib - The magazine of the Women's Liberation Movement in Britain in the 1970s and '80s.
As a person who throws little away, I still have a pile of these on my bookshelf.

I was interested to read on line that in the early issues, alongside articles on feminist history and features by women such as Germane Green and Kate Millet, there was a strand called 'Man's World'. George Best shared his thoughts on 'Women and the Liberation Movement' and John Peel wrote extolling the virtues of beauty pageants!!

It got better!

I remember it from the '80s. It was very much of its time. An important publication. It lasted until 1993.
