Tuesday: Lou Mitchell's

Our last morning in Chicago so, to set us up for the day, and the flight back home, we had breakfast at 'Lou Mitchell's', A fantastic diner, operating since 1923. Breakfast was indeed immense and left us in a slight food coma.

Flight back to Vancouver this afternoon was pleasant and straightforward. I watched 'Isle Of Dogs' which was outstanding.

We have so enjoyed Chicago - even more than we expected. It felt like we managed to fit in a lot and it's a very easy city to get around, as well as being incredibly attractive and interesting. Until this trip I had always thought New York was my favourite city but I think it may now have been pipped to the post. Sorry, New York.......

Finished Elspeth Huxley's 'Flame Trees of Thika' on the flight, it's one of the Slightly Foxed series so is in that genre.....slightly old fashioned and a bit colonial but quite charming.
