Bracket fungi

Buzz, buzz, buzz, that fly with the colourful behind was buzzing around all day as we prepared for the journey to our overnight stop in Peterborough on the first leg of the long drive up to Edinburgh.

Walk, allotment, collecting all the necessary stuff for the stay on Mull, packing, cool bag, breakfast, instructing neighbours on operating the alarm key fob, cooking tomatoes and raspberries and probably a million other things as well as getting Doreen packed and down to our place.

Incident free trip to Peterborough and now trying to relax before bed.

Today’s blip is of bracket fungi on an oak tree. The oak looks in good enough shape but these fungi can’t be a good sign.
