Wood on Wednesday

I know this isn't wood...it's a gourd. But, when a gourd dries nicely...it  FEELS like wood.

In the last 7 weeks, I've sold quite a few painted gourds at the farmer's market, so I've been trying to replace them with new pieces.

Sock monkeys...in any form...always remind me of my Grandma Jewel...who used to make them.

I'm going to have to do some research on how to make them.
