Winter Tystie

The Black Guillemot in its winter plumage.

The Tystie, as it is known locally, is common in the harbour at this time of year and you can more or less be guaranteed to see some most days. The red legs can be seen under the water.

The Tystie is the symbol of the Shetland Bird Club.
