Today I went out with Carol, friend and fellow fungi enthusiast. We went to visit a couple of woodlands more in hope than expectation of finding anything fungal. In one woodland, on a favourite fallen beech, we found the long living, perennial Artist's Bracket, Ganoderma applanatum
