Lunch Stop

It was a waterproofs on and off every few minutes kind of day. Too hot with them on but wet with them off. The shelter came in handy at coffee break but fortunately lunch atop Blencathra was dry, albeit far windier than forecast. One of us almost lost an entire lunchbox!

We’d wanted to do Sharp Edge but it was too wet to do that safely. Instead we walked up Scales Fell and descended the delightful Halls Fell scramble.

It was a very good day. Assessment isn’t far off now and today I felt confident. Just wish I did all the time! It’s all about mindset... easy to know, easy to say, hard to control.
