Berrying

10yo, 13yo and I went berrying along Moorside.

Some of the blackberries were looking juicy enough but the bilberries had a way to go, although we picked a few anyway. Along with a sprig or two of elderberries we'll be having Three Berry Crumble for tea tonight.

10yo found this 7-spot Ladybird; they seem much scarcer than they used to be since the rise of the Harlequin. Too cool and overcast for butterflies today.
