On the lawn

Lunch with friends in rural Kent today. They live in a lovely old thatched cottage with a pride-and-joy garden, so we were a bit surprised to be invited to park on the lawn. It’s a bonus of this ultra-dry summer that the ground is so dry and hard, although recent showers have greened up the grass. So nice to enjoy a home-grown produce lunch out of doors. Friday bliss!
