Nave bosses

We visited Yeovil today and spent some time in the fascinating St John's church.  The building dates from the 1380's and is in very good condition.  It has a large number of large stained glass windows and is known as 'The Lantern of the West'.  One of these stained glass windows shows Jesus and his disciples at the Last Supper, unusually the halo around Judas is black, see extras.  The main blip shows two of the wonderful carved wooded bosses in the nave.

Afterwards we headed for Montacute House another building of grand structure and history.  It also houses a large number of portraits from the Portrait Gallery in London.
