Life from death...

Another non harvest day. Certainly felt like autumn this morning while going round on the quad bike.
Sent one off to cart more straw home, the other to spread slurry and I spent most of the day in the slatted shed stirring slurry again . Rigged up the water pump to add some water from the burn as it needed thinned down a bit, but even just ticking over there was hardly enough water in the burn to stop the pump drawing air. By 9pm tonight I gave it up as a bad job .
It’s drizzling again tonight - where has all the dry weather gone ?
This beech stump was cut down a number of years ago , but is now providing the perfect place for these rowan saplings to grow, as they are high enough up for the vermin( deer, hares , rabbits ) not to be able to eat them
