The Matukituki Valley

Our attempt to ski at Treble Cone was aborted this morning. We arrived at the bottom of the access road at 9 o’clock only to find that the road was closed as all the car parks up the hill were full. The car park at the bottom of the road was nearly full and a crowd of people were waiting for the shuttle bus to take them up. We drove further up the valley looking for a nice blip and then went home! Tomorrow we are going to the Snow Farm for snow shoeing.
