Birthday Girl

Today is our daughter-in-law's birthday. I can't believe it, but she's 40. When we were in Exeter the other week, she was asked in a couple of shops for her student id card so that she could receive a discount!
She and our son have gone to Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's River Cottage this evening for a real treat. Guests are dropped off in the car park at the top of a hill (with fabulous views) and then a tractor and trailer transports them down to the bottom for the evening.  I dropped them off and will pick them up at 11 pm. I rather liked the  sign showing where to wait for the tractor.
It is suggested on the ticket that they dress warmly and casually, so that they can walk around the garden etc.
The extra is my feeble attempt at a birthday cake. Forget what it looks like - It did taste very good.
