Airport tour

So my lad is going abroad for his first school trip to Europe. He’s never been inside a plane, in fact he doesn’t even own a passport! (That’s next on the list). He has a fear of heights and doesn’t like the sensation of his tummy rising or his ears popping. Isn’t autism a grand thing!?!
So, the very lovely chap at our local airport got us sorted for a tour. He showed us what happens from the moment you walk into their terminal till you get on the plane.
We got a minibus ride to the plane, talks with the air stewardess as she was coming off the plane and then we got on to go onboard to learn about the seatbelts, where luggage went and basically the simple things you do to fly.
All we have left to do now is to go for a short flight so he can get over his fear of the sensory & heights. I can’t thank the staff enough for all their help and giving us their time today. Some folk are just the salt of the earth.
