Sailing on Christian Radich: Gils

On Christian Radich you always meet exciting people. People with a history, people who commit themselves and that have the ability to make dreams come true. 

This year, Gils impressed me the most. 5 years old, the desire to sail with Christian Radich was lit. The parents told him he was too young, but he could start saving. And he did. Year after year, for 10 years! 

After 10 years the parents and Gils thought that the traditional Norwegian  confirmation can be replaced by a race since it's all about stepping into adulthood and show that one can stand on your own two feet. When you are 15, you can travel without parents at Christian Radich. 

Gils told me that the greatest about the voyage  was that he actually managed to make his dream come true! He has been a board for 20 days, racing and sailing from port to port. It was a delight to travel with amazing Gils! 

Oscarsborg was the last stop before we sailed to my beloved Oslo.
