It’s what is not there that matters

I did not get round to our house on Friday. Today I discovered that the portaloo which sat there for over 6 months for the workmen had been removed. A sign of progress.

There are still workmen in. But we now have a functioning toilet. Some plumbing is working. Covers are going on switches - but power not yet back on. But the date for getting back into the house looks closer.

Elsewhere our plans to take my 93 year old blind relative out for a late birthday lunch had to be abandoned. She’s had an infection this past week and has not yet got on top of it. Still wobbly on her legs and needing help getting around. So keeping her OK through the day became the focus. And, after this photo was taken, cutting the hedge.

Caught up with Darkest Hour in the evening. Great film.
