53 years on

The wonderful summer is well and truly over , if the evidence of the last week in Argyll is anything to go by.  The ground is wet again after a lot of rain but there was a brief respite this afternoon during which I cut grass.

I was at the back of the house , turning the wee lawn tractor, when I suddenly remembered that I had a picture, given to us by relatives of the previous owner (when it was a working farm) which had been taken from almost the same spot in 1965.

It is not a perfect match, but it does give the contrast, not least in the tree growth that has taken place over the last half century or so.   And the more recent build up of places for Cathleen to grow courgettes (amongst many other things).
