The shopping centres are heaving with plump, white bearded, glinty eyed, ho ho ho chanting blokes surrounded by piles of cotton snow, sometimes reluctant toddlers and occasionally sulky elves.
A local garden centre has raised the 'santa' bar with this character. They were discussing possible names and the current favourite was Santa Paws until yours truly came up with 'big red' which they were pretty chuffed with as the best selling Kangaroo Paw variety is ...'Big Red'!
