Mono Monday...Compact

I was able to quickly take some shots of the surface of an old tree trunk in J and D's garden, before returning home late this morning. I thought the surface with the compact layers of considerable age, would be suitable for today's mono challenge ......thanks to Laurie54 for hosting :) Arrived home early evening, quiet here but very glad I had been to see my oldest friend and appreciate the progress in her mobility... a very long time before she is fully mobile again, and a lot of patience needed in the meantime............
Thanks for the responses to the image yesterday, hopefully I am able to give my full attention to Blip once again.......
