ptitbaboun's recipe sounded so good i had to try it, but 
it turned out that my thinking i had all the ingredients to hand was totally erroneous!

so i had to improvise...

sk's Nectarine, Tomato & Prosciutto salad (for 1)

1 ripe nectarine, quartered and sliced
1 medium homegrown yellow tomato, quartered and sliced
2 tiny red ones, quartered
1 weeny orange one for decoration
half a buffalo mozzarella, in pieces
2 slices of prosciutto, torn into bits (next time i will use 3 slices)
some fresh basil leaves
a generous scattering of pistachio kernels

a dressing made from a modest amount of virgin olive oil (not much more than an old fashioned serving spoonful), a few drops of good quality balsamic vinegar, 5 twists of freshly ground black pepper, & a pinch of sea salt.
