South Coast Scribblings

Pruned

We decided today that our straggly bush in the front garden needed some good cutting back, so we decided between us how much should go. The answer was - most of it! I will try and post the 'before' photo as an extra, but I'm still having to use my phone to blip so I'm not sure how easy it will be!

The house was in a fit enough state for a couple of our friends to visit this afternoon. We heard about the holiday club at our old church which is on each morning this week. A lady from Scripture Union is leading it instead of my husband who is quite relieved not to have to lead it any more. We really used to enjoy it, but it was hard work. We shall go over to the final evening to see everyone and our friends had kindly treated us to tickets for the buffet.

Hubby had spent most of the morning in the loft depositing more items up there. We are almost down to what we will want available in the house but there are a couple of boxes to go in my Dad's loft when we next go over and some items still in a large box that need an additional chest of drawers to go in.

This evening we had over forty starlings flocking onto the roofs of our row of houses. We just happened to be in the garden when they were gathering. They didn't stay long, but it was quite impressive. I love their chirpy burbling sounds!
