Nob Pylons Still

There was a few minutes around sunrise this morning when the sun peeked above the horizon and below the cloud cover of the, that seemed to concentrate the colour into one narrow band of orange. That was our lot for the day.

It's been quiet on the pylons front down this way for a while, but the sign's still out there. Not sure what's been decided beyond camouflaging the 50 metre structures with some paint and a bit of shrubbery but there's been a lot of digging up along this road the past couple of weeks leading towards where the new pylons are due to go. Might be related. Might not.

Talking of unsightly structures, my Movember 'tache has been taking a bit of a slating from all and sundry. I've been likened to everything from Freddie Mercury to Walter Matthau to a common or garden spiv. Ah well, it's all for a good cause.

Talking of good causes, it's 'Children in Need' night here in the UK. We've had one of our amazing students taking part in the Team Rickshaw Challenge all week, and they've just completed their amazingly inspiring journey of 411 miles live on telly just now. Well done Lauren that's a fantastic feat you've achieved and makes my piddly efforts and pitiful whining on a bike pale into insignificance. Respect.

Talking of wine...
