228/365 Pit Rivers Museum - Oxford NHM

A plan b for an outing today, which turned to to be a much better option than plan a, which was a day a Santa Pod race way.

The Pitt-Rivers Museum, in inside the Oxford Natural History Museum and houses many object collected by Lt-General Augustus Pitt Rivers.  Founded in 1884, with its building added on to the Oxford NHM between 1885 and1886 the museum now holds approximately 500,000 items, from its original 22,000 fromthe general.

If you are in this area, you may well have already visited, if not then do so as its a fascinating place.
