Reaching for the Sky

A juvenile lancewood (horoeka) in our garden. A native of NZ which changes quite dramatically in its adult form.
I like the spikey leaves and how they are contrasted against the blue sky.

Frida and I held a puppy therapy session at Kai Whakapai (a Wanaka cafe). At least 7 people came to pat her and talk about their dogs that were at home while they are travelling, or dogs that have died. Frida loves the attention, and I enjoy the chats with a great long black coffee.
