Exploring Lickey Woods

You may have seen my blip from last Friday of a path less than a mile from home which I had only just discovered. Well, today I have explored another new path.

Again it is one which I had noticed before but had never bothered to follow until now. It took me through some very boggy woodland to this rather large pond. It is clearly man-made but I can't find anything on the web about the history of it. It had a rather eerie atmosphere in today's murky conditions.
