Wanderings & Witterings

Dunfermline

Running a bit in arrears with my Blip posting at the moment - please bear with me!

A day out by bus to Dunfermline with a few friends from my church. We started off by visiting Dunfermline Abbey, a current Church of Scotland place of worship and where the resting-place of Robert the Bruce can be found. Next up was the beautiful Pittencrieff Park (see extras), where we had lunch, and then the fascinating Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum.

On our way from the Bus Station to the Abbey we passed the City Chambers, built in 1879 in the French Baronial Gothic style (according to the internet) and featuring the gargoyle which is my main photo today.
