A strange visitor or two

What was this helicopter doing in a vineyard?

After purchasing a huge Afghan Kazak rug in Brasted today we decided to take another trip to Westerham Brewery which was close by. It was very cold and we could not eat the street food we had bought outdoors. The brewery inside had electric heaters on. I wore jeans and a sweater, which is the first time since May. I think an early winter has arrived.

Squerrys Vineyard adjoins the brewery and in spite of the cold weather, people were enjoying lunch and glasses of bubbly al fresco on the terrace. We saw the helicopter next to the vines and it was an incongruous sight and, therefore, my entry to Admirer's Silly Challenge.

BUT we missed the best opportunity for the Silly and bizarre challenge. As we left the small farm shop on the Brewery Site we were passed by a man on his way into the shop. That's Nigel Farage said Ian. No said I, too short and fat. We waited a few minutes in the car until he came out of the shop and returned to his old Volvo. We followed him on the farm track exit that has a 10mph speed limit and he drove off at some speed turning in the opposite direction to us. Thanks to Google for showing us a picture of him and his cars number plate. He lives quite close by in biggin hill.

For the non UK people who do not know who this man is - he is a kent MEP and was leader of UKIP. The man who was responsible for David Cameron calling a referendum on whether or not Britain should leave the EU. And the rest is history.

What would i have done if i had met him in the
tiny farm shop. Would i have been able to have held my tongue and kept my hands to myself.?

Would a blip of him have been a better Silly Saturday shot. Who knows? But thanks once again to Admirer for this challenge.
