Clouded Yellow

On my early morning walk over the Downs with the spaniel I was thinking about yesterday's success with the Brown Hairstreak and how the only other butterfly I could possibly still hope to see this year would be a Clouded Yellow. As if by magic one appeared right in front of me! It led me a merry dance for ten minutes before it settled. So 46 species in one season - and that really is the end!
