Lismore Lighthouse - Inner Waters

A good journey across Scotland from Perth to Mull. Stopped off at Crieff Visitors Centre for a spot of browsing and again at the Green Welly at Tyndrum for coffee, scone and a rest.

Made good time to Oban where we bought provisions for the week leaving just enough time for fish and chips in George Street before catching the ferry over to Mull. We had 30 miles to cover along single track roads to get to our cottage which is west of Bunessan and about a mile from Fionnphort and the ferry to Iona. Traffic was light making the journey very pleasant.

Great scenery all day, on the mainland, on the ferry and across Mull this evening. Hoping to see some of the wildlife that Mull is renowned for, looking forward to some exhilarating walks, possibly to the summit of Ben More, the island’s only Munro, Iona of course and may be Staffa. There’s a lot to pack in, the weather needs to be kind but it is not hopeful for tomorrow.

The light this evening as we crossed to Mull was spectacular, not sunny as the low pressure was coming in, which provided many blip opportunities. The shot of Lismore Lighthouse won the vote.

We have WiFi here although the upload speeds are about 2mbs, so blip activity may well be limited.
